маржинальная торговля
Распространенный на финансовых рынках вид спекулятивной торговли (покупка и продажа ценных бумаг для извлечения прибыли при изменении их курса). Торговцу предоставляется кредит в форме денег или товаров (например, торгуемых ценных бумаг) под залог оговоренной суммы — маржи (см. Mаржа, 2). Размер маржи обычно составляет небольшую долю размера кредита, в разных странах и в разных ситуациях с рисками очень различную. В России в настоящее время она составляет до 0,5. При маржинальной торговле обычно разрешается продавать взятый в кредит товар с предполагаемой последующей покупкой аналогичного товара и возврата кредита в натуральном (товарном) виде. Такая операция называется короткая позиция или продажа без покрытия (непокрытая продажа). Этот механизм обеспечивает возможность получать прибыль при изменении цен. Участники маржинальной торговли делятся на «медведей» и «быков».
